Activating/deactivating
call waiting – CW
This function can be set up separately for
each handset. When call waiting is acti-
vated, the caller will hear the ringing tone
if you are already making a call. This call is
announced acoustically and visually on
your handset screen.
When call waiting is deactivated, the caller
will hear the busy tone if you are already
making a call
and
you are the only sub-
scriber assigned to this MSN.
When call waiting is deactivated, the caller
will hear the busy tone if you are already
making a call, you are the only subscriber
assigned to this MSN and this MSN is not
assigned to an answer machine.

your number for all calls (CLIR)
Precondition:
The 'Withhold calling line
identification on a case-by-case basis' fea-
ture is supported by your network pro-
vider.
CLIR = Calling Line Identification Restric-
tion, display of own telephone number
suppressed.
If you do not wish the person you are call-
ing to know your phone number, you can
withhold Calling Line Identification.
Your phone is set by default to display your
number to the person you are calling.
To find out how to withhold the number
for a subsequent call, see page 21.

Diverting calls
Diverting calls internally
Only one divert destination can be set for
internal call diversion. If you are diverting
to a subscriber who has activated internal
call diversion himself, your diversion will
end with this subscriber nonetheless.
The diverted call will always ring at the
subscriber you diverted it to.
The following settings are each confirmed
by a message in the display and an
acknowledgement tone.
