The CC–S
0
supports the following S
0
communication protocol:
n
normal EURO ISDN S
0
–Dialing Line (DSS1),
n
digital leased line for B1 or B2 (64S B1/ 64S B2) and
n
digital leased line for B1 and B2 (64S2).
S
0
–Bus can be terminated via jumpers. To avoid transmission disturbance the S
0
–Bus has
to be terminated at the last device of the bus. In the delivery state the S
0
–Bus is terminated,
so there is no need to open the housing if the CC–S
0
is the last or only device connected to
the S
0
–Bus.
A contact output (relay contact, change over contact) generates a “device ready” signal
(GOK/DR). Only when a relay has picked up the device is ready for data communication.
The NC contact signals a fault. All operating states are signalled via LED’s.

The following interfaces and connections are located on the device side (Figure 22):

S

–Bus: The signals of the S
0
–Bus interface must be applied to the 5-pole screw
terminal (S
0
–Bus, Rx and Tx twisted pair). The fifth screw terminal adjacent on the left
(‘S‘) is for contacting the cable screen. The cable screen is connected to the housing. The
S
0
–Bus signals are electrically isolated from the other electrical circuits (Figure 21).
