The RS232-interface at port 7 (in fig. 4 named RS232/M0) is set as
Master-interface (port number = 0) and is used for the local access from
a central PC with DIGSI.
The optical interface at port 1 (in fig.4 FO/MO) is configured as Master-
interface and connected with the modem. Through this interface runs the
remote interrogation from a PC in the office with a modem to modem link
via a telephone dial up connection. If the automatic baud rate adaption in
the modem is set, the parameter ´
PING
´ for this interface must be set to
´
YES
´.
The RS485-interface at port 6 (in fig. 4 named as RS485/M0) is set also
as Master-interface and send datas received at the other Master-ports
(here 1 or 7) to further Active Mini-Starcouplers. It´s the interface for
cascading several devices.
The optical interfaces at port 2 – 5 are parametrized as Slave-ports. The
settings for the interfaces correspond with the interface settings in the
relays. An active data connection between the Master-port 1 (modem) or
7 (RS232) to the relay is switched, if the Slave-interface is selected by
it´s interface selection string. This functionality is provided by
WINDIMOD, the remote interrogation add-on for DIGSI 3.
