Spare parts and repairs
Maintenance
The device is maintenance-free. Maintenance wok is not required. However, you should not
dispense with cleaning of the outer surfaces of the device.
NOTICE
Risk of damage
The use of compressed air, steam blasters, or aggressive solutions or cleaners will damage
the device.
Use a cleaning cloth that is moistened with a commercial cleaning agent to clean the
equipment.
Repairs
Repair work is subject to the following rules:
The owner may repair the EMS400S carrier controller if one of the modules listed in chapter
"Replaceable modules (Page 40)" has failed. You must submit the carrier controller to
Siemens for repairs if a module that is not listed in the named chapter has failed.
You can turn in the respective device for repairs to the Retouren-Center Fürth .

The repaired device will be returned to you. A new device will not be supplied in exchange.
Depending on the work necessary to repair the device, the Center may decide to give you a
credit note. A credit not is only granted if the party that submitted the device has ordered a
new device.
