Requirement

The EMS is powered off.

The EMS carrier is mounted to the EMS
●
All components of the EMS carrier are mounted
●
A current collector carrier with protective ground connection is mounted to the EMS
carrier
Procedure
Note
When working in and on electrical systems, you should always observe the specifications in
the section "Safety instructions (Page 15)".

Wire the cable identified with

to the PE bolt of the carrier controller.
These cables may not be wired to the current collector carrier to which the cables
identified under
①
are connected. Install a second collector.

The connection of the braking resistor is optional.
DANGER
Electrical accident through contact
The RAIL contact conductors are connected to 48 V AC, while the L1, L2 and L3 contact
conductors are operated on a voltage of 400/500 V AC. Contact with components carrying
these live voltages poses the risk of an electrical accident. Such an accident can result in
physical injury or death.
Always adhere to the necessary safety measures taken for the respective electrical system
components.
DANGER
Electrical accident through fault
A mechanical fault in the contact conductor system of the system can result in a short-
circuit between the L1, L2 or L3 contact conductors and the RAIL contact conductors.
Contact with components on live 400/500 V AC can result in an electrical accident. Such an
accident can result in physical injury or death.
Always adhere to the necessary safety measures taken for the respective electrical system
components.
