Front panel lock
Note
Observe the following points:
•
When opening the front panel of a carrier controller that is mounted to the EMS carrier,
you should support it with your hand to prevent it from tilting down.
•
Degree of protection IP65 is no longer given as long as the front panel is in open state.
•
The same condition in terms of IP65 applies if no connectors are inserted into the
interfaces of the carrier controller. Cover any unused interfaces with appropriate means.
The standard front panel lock is a double-bit lock. The key is available on order as
accessory.
You can use a custom lock instead of the standard version.

The front panel has an opening angle of 180° in down direction.
Display unit
The display unit is the receiver of signals from the IR remote control and also has the
following functions:

Display of the current operating mode
●
Display of error and diagnostic information
●
Display of other freely configurable tasks
●
Display of feedback when addressing the EMS carrier with an IR remote control
The elements displayed by the display unit are specified in the TIA Portal.
