Elementary diagram
An elementary diagram of the primary
circuit is provided on the front panel of each
ground and test device. This diagram
provides a quick reference to the
arrangement of the device and should be
studied prior to each use to confirm that the
device chosen conforms to the user’s
requirements.

Verify connections of upper studs and lower
studs in the switchgear circuit breaker
compartment. Device type B is designed to
ground lower studs, and device type D is
designed to ground upper studs. Confirm
that the device selected will ground the
desired studs in the switchgear
compartment.
