6.3.1.1 LED Status Display for PROFIBUS
The LEDs “SYS” and “COM” display the status of the fieldbus module.
LED Color Status Meaning Reaction
Yellow Flashes
(1 Hz)
Fieldbus module in boot loader
mode and waits for firmware.
This must not occur during nor-
mal operation. Send the gate-
way to SIEB & MEYER.
Yellow Flashes
(5 Hz)
Firmware is downloaded into
the fieldbus module.
This must not occur during nor-
mal operation. Send the gate-
way to SIEB & MEYER.
Yellow Flashes
randomly
Fieldbus module signals a hard-
ware error.
Send the gateway to
SIEB & MEYER.
Green On Normal operation – PROFIBUS
is in cyclic data exchange
mode.

Green Flashes
(5 Hz)
PROFIBUS slave does not ex-
change data cyclically.
Check the configuration of the
participants in master.

PROFIBUS slave is not yet con-
figured.
This must not occur during nor-

SYS
– Off No communication: 24V supply
switched off or fieldbus module
defective.

– Off Slave is not configured and can
not exchange data. The fieldbus
module enters this state usually
during the startup phase.

The LED STA1 indicates the status of the gateway. The LED STA2 indicates the status
of the SERVOLINK 4 connection.
