Application and switching
examples
The side access doors to the robot cells are monitored by safety switches (
). If the doors
are opened, the safety switches also switch off the OSSD of the respective safety
application.
A restart interlock is configured for both safety applications. Two independent signal lamps
(
and
) indicate that a reset is required after one of the OSSDs is switched off. The
respective OSSD of the UE 440 is reactivated by actuating the connected reset button (
and
).
Three emergency stop input devices are connected (
) and switch off both safety
applications (robot cells) simultaneously. Each emergency stop also affects both OSSDs of
the safety controller.
