Audio Signal Encryption
When encryption is enabled, the receiver generates a
unique encryption key which is shared with the transmitter
during an IR sync. Transmitters and receivers that share an
encryption key form a protected audio path, preventing
unauthorized access from other receivers.
Enable encryption using Wireless Workbench or the
receiver front panel. For more details, see the user guide
for your receiver.
Encrypting a Single Transmitter to a
Single Receiver
1. From the receiver menu: DEVICE
UTILITIES >
ENCRYPTION >
ON
(Auto)
2. Press ENTER.
3. Perform an IR Sync to share the encryption key with
the selected transmitter.
Removing Encryption
1. From the receiver menu: DEVICE
UTILITIES >
ENCRYPTION > OFF
2. Press ENTER.
