To.change/replace.sanding.belt,.do.these.steps:

1.

DISCONNECT MACHINE FROM POWER!

2.

Remove side guard by completely unscrewing side-

guard knob (see

Figure.20

).

Note:.

To provide further access to the lower drive

wheel, it is also possible to remove the front belt

guard.

3.

Loosen belt tension lock knob (see

Figure.21

).

4.

Pull belt tension lever (see

Figure.21

) to loosen

belt, them remove belt.

5.

Install new sanding belt, then tighten belt tension

lock knob, and re-install side guard.

Note:

Make sure arrow on inside of sanding belt

points same direction as belt rotation arrow on

machine.

Changing/Replacing

Sanding.Belt

The Model W1838 Combo Sander accepts 27" x 2" sanding

belts. These are available in the current Shop Fox catalog

in a variety of grits.

The sanding belt runs across a 5" steel platen and is held

in place with a spring-tensioned release lever.
