Adjusting the picture mode
(PICT MODE)
You can change the picture mode depending on
the type of the image you are now watching. Each
picture mode consists of the adjustments set in the
Picture menu. (See pages E43 and E49.)

1. Press the PICT MODE button.
The currently selected picture mode will be
displayed.
2. Press the PICT MODE button to select the
desired mode.
Each time you press the button, the mode
changes as follows:

Note:
- You can select a different picture mode for each
display mode. (For example, select
"STANDARD" for TV mode and "DYNAMIC" for
AV1 mode.)
Customizing the picture mode
For each display mode, you can register the
adjustments set in the Picture menu as "USER" of
the picture mode.
1. Press the TV, AV, or PC button to select the
desired display mode.
2. Press the PICT MODE button to select "USER".
(See the left column.)
3. Press the MENU button to display the MENU
screen.
4. Press the
buttons to select "Picture".
5. Press the
buttons to select the desired item
to adjust.
6. Adjust the values.
(See pages E42 and E43, or E47 and E49 for
information on using the menus.)
7. Press the MENU or EXIT button to exit the
screen.
Adjustments set in the Picture menu will be
registered as "USER" for the currently selected
display mode.
Notes:
- You can also customize the other picture modes
("STANDARD", "DYNAMIC", "CINEMA", and
"GAME") in the same way.
- Selecting "Reset" in the Picture menu can reset
adjustment values to their original factory
settings.
