Safety function description

10.2.1

STO (safe torque off)

STO safety function ensures the torque at the respective axis drive is switched off im-
mediately by deactivating the energy supply. When the STO function is active, it is not
possible for the converter to supply torque-generating energy to the drive, thus prevent-
ing the axis from restarting unexpectedly.
This safety function corresponds to stop category 0 (non-regulated stop) according to
EN 60204-1.
