Gas conc. alarm level
The gas concentration level for which the alarm relay is activated. The gas alarm
level is specified in the currently active unit for gas concentration. If a different unit
is later selected, the gas alarm level will not automatically be converted to the new
unit but must be set manually. The alarm level is selected individually for different
gases, although the alarm relay is common. Thus, if the concentration of any of
the measured gas is above its alarm level, the alarm relay is activated. To exclude
one or several gases from activating the alarm the corresponding alarm levels are
set to deliberately unreachable values. See also Section 6.9 for different
configurations of the gas alarm relay.
Gas concentration in flanges, RU and TU
The gas concentrations in the laser beam alignment chamber and the laser unit
are located here, since they are individual for each gas. The corresponding optical
lengths are common for all and are, therefore, specified in the <M
EASUREMENT
CONFIGURATION
> menu. The gas concentration in the laser beam alignment
chamber is specified with the parameter <G
AS CONCENTRATION IN FLANGE
>. The
gas concentration in the laser unit is per default zero (filled with nitrogen) but can
be modified with the parameter <G
AS CONCENTRATION IN
RU
&
TU> if necessary.
Note that the unit of the gas concentration in the alignment chamber is always
g/Nm
3
irrespective of the unit chosen for the measured gas concentration. For O
2
SERVOTOUGH LaserExact Monitors, if the alignment chamber is purged by air,
the concentration of O
2
should be set to 298.6 g/Nm
3
. If the measured gas is not
present in air and in the alignment chamber the gas concentrations must be set to
zero.
Min/Max line position [0-63]
These values define the acceptance window (in samples) for the line position in
the second harmonic signal (see Section 4.3.2). The values cannot be modified if
the program runs in User mode.
Reference line position
Specifies the position of the absorption line (in samples) in the second harmonic
signal. The value cannot be modified if the program runs in User mode.
Max line position deviation
Specifies the maximum deviation of the line position (in samples) from the
reference line position. In case the deviation is larger than the specified value the
instrument will adjust the laser temperature to bring the line back to the reference
position. The value cannot be modified if the program runs in User mode.
Calibration constant
The constant used in calculation of the gas concentration. The calibration constant
is modified after calibration (see Section 4.3.7). The value cannot be modified
manually in this menu if the program runs in User mode.
Line width constant
