3.2. Accessing vMax Web
When the DX-HD DVR is connected to the network, users can access the DVR over an Ethernet
connection or using Seon Smart Reach Lite wireless access to view, playback, and archive video as
well as configure the DVR.
Follow the setup instructions in the
Explorer DX-HD DVR Install and Setup Guide

To access vMax Web
1. On a PC with an Ethernet connection to the DVR, right click the Internet Explorer icon and select
Run as Administrator.
Windows may prompt for confirmation.
2. Confirm in the browser tray that Protected Mode is set to Off, as shown.
3. In the browser’s URL field, enter the DVR IP address from the Network Settings menu.
The default DVR IP address is
http://169.254.1.1
.
4. Click Enter on the keyboard.
NOTE:
vMax Web is not compatible with 64-bit versions of Internet Explorer.
Internet Explorer should be set to default settings.
If firewall security, antivirus software, access restrictions, or custom IE settings are applied,
they may adversely affect vMax Web performance.
vMax Web is not compatible with browsers other than Internet Explorer.
CAUTION: System Access Restriction
It is assumed that archiving is performed by users with administration level login
permissions, and that the computer, network, and Internet Explorer have been configured to
enable archiving and downloading video files.
