12.15. Ethernet/GPRS communication channel redundant
function (Z-GPRS2 only)
Z-GPRS2 can be set to use the Ethernet communication channel as the primary and GPRS as
backup. This function allows Z-GPRS2 to always attempt to send data via the Ethernet port, if
there are any connection problems (after various attempts), the system switches to send data via
the GPRS network.
The transition from the Ethernet connection to the GPRS may take up to 2 hours of attempts.
When using the redundant channel function the FTP resume function is not available.
12.16. Configuration test for EMAIL send
A command is available to force the delivery of an email with an attachment via SMS or by a
button on the configurator software, to the first administrator in the email address book.
This you can learn whether the set configuration is working or if there are errors.
The command is sent by a mobile phone saved in the address book as "administrator". It can be
sent with both upper and lower case characters:
email test
12.17. Configuration test for log send via FTP
A command is available to force a text file to be sent via SMS or by a button on the configurator
software, to the FTP server set for log send.
This you can learn whether the set configuration is working or if there are errors.
The command is sent by a mobile phone saved in the address book as "administrator". It can be
sent with both upper and lower case characters:
ftp test
13. SYSTEM LOG (EVENT AND ALARM LOG) ON MICRO SD
If a microSD card is inserted, a log can be enabled for all events (alarms, received SMS commands, ring
commands etc..).
The log is saved in text format in the "syslog.csv" file in the main microSD directory.
