9. Change Network Settings
The Juice Box comes from the factory with the following network settings:
•
IP Address: 192.168.0.30
•
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
•
Gateway: 0.0.0.0
You can use these settings if your computer has an IP address within the same range and this
address is not currently in use on your network. If your computer has a different IP address
range, or the default address is currently in use, or you will have multiple Juice Boxes on the
same network you will then have to modify the network settings.
To change the Juice Box network adapter settings use the following procedure:
•
Connect your computer to the Juice Box via the RS232 interface using a standard serial
cable.
•
Start up the terminal adapter program.
•
Press the Enter key then type “ip status”, (case insensitive), and press the Enter key
again.
•
The current Juice Box network settings will be displayed.
•
Type “ip config”, press the Enter key, then follow the prompts to enter the IP Address,
Subnet Mask, and Gateway.
•
If you make a mistake you can hit the “Backspace” key then re-enter the character or
press the Enter key which will cause the Juice Box to respond with “Invalid Entry” and
allow you to enter the information again.
•
If you press the Enter key three times the IP Config process will be aborted.
•
If the new entry is successful the Juice Box will respond with the new settings.
