Use of the swivel outlet elbow (optional)
The swivel outlet elbow, 70° 22 mm diameter, is an accessory of the DreamStar™ devices, designed to
improve the comfort of use of the device to which it is connected.
It consists of a bent tube fitted on a base, and it can swivel around a vertical axis ( ).
Installation
CAUTION
The swivel outlet elbow must be cleaned before the first use by following the instructions of the paragraph
hereafter.
To install it, connect the base to the outlet connector of the device and the swivelling bent tube to the end
of the patient circuit ( ).
Monthly cleaning
CAUTION
• Do not use strong detergent.
•
Do not sterilize.
Detach the swivel outlet elbow from the device and the patient circuit.
Clean the outside of the swivel outlet elbow using a damp tissue (cloth, paper towel) with a little water
and one drop of mild detergent.
Eliminate any trace of detergent by repeating this operation with a new tissue (cloth, paper towel)
moistened with water only.
Wipe the swivel outlet elbow thoroughly using a dried tissue (cloth, paper towel).
