5.3.3 Installation
You will need the German version of the Microsoft ISDN Accelerator Pack 1.1, the Sedlbauer Miniport driver
and your Windows 95 CD.
The Miniport driver and the Accelerator Pack are on the Installation CD-ROM.
Caution :
Please check first if an ACCELERATOR PACK or a DUN (Dial up Networking) or VPN (Virtual Private
Networking) in version higher than 1.1 is already installed on your system. If not, please install the
Accelerator Pack 1.1 included in the delivered software package. If one of the above mentioned software is
already installed, please DO NOT install the Accelerator Pack! After having checked this situation, you can
install the NDIS WAN Miniport driver.
The Accelerator Pack and the Miniport driver can be installed conveniently with the setup program on the
CD-ROM. The steps that must be performed for installation are explained in detail with interactive and
detailed help desks. The following two sections are therefore only used for reference, manual installation and
updates.
5.3.3.1 Installing the Accelerator Pack
Under „
Start/Settings/Control Panel/Network “ check whether an older version of the NDIS-WAN Miniport
driver is installed on your computer. If this is the case, select the entry and click the < Remove > button to
delete the older version.
You must now install the Microsoft Accelerator Pack 1.1. Click „
Start/Run ...“, enter
D:\WIN95\ENMSISDN.exe in the command line
and click <OK> for installation from CD-ROM
If the ENMISDN.exe file is located in a different directory, enter the corresponding path. Once you have
agreed to the licence terms, the necessary data will be copied onto your hard disk. If you are asked whether
the computer should be restarted, click

to update the configuration files accordingly.
5.3.3.2 Installing the NDIS-WAN Miniport driver
Sedlbauer´s NDIS-WAN Miniport driver must now be installed as the network card. Have ready your
Windows 95 CD, you will possibly need it.
Activate the „
Network “ icon in „ Control Panel “. Install a new network card by selecting

in succession. In the „Install from Disk“ dialog box enter the drive and path in
which the „Sedlw.inf“ file is located.
