System Requirements
In order to install the USB hard drive, you must have all
of the following:
• A computer running Windows 98, Windows Me, or
Windows 2000 Professional operating systems
(This USB hard drive is not compatible with Windows
95 or Windows NT)
• At least one unused USB 1.1 port (USB ports are
available on most PCs and laptops manufactured after
1998; USB add-on boards are also readily available.)
• A CD-ROM drive for driver and software installation
• 16 to 32 Mbytes of RAM are required to run the bonus
software.
About your USB hard drive
The DiskStor USB hard drive is a high-performance
external hard drive from Seagate Technology. It allows you
to add twenty or forty Gbytes of storage to your system in
a matter of minutes. Unlike most hard drives, this USB
hard drive has no jumpers to set and comes preformatted
and partitioned. All you have to do is plug it in!
