1. Both engines MUST be in the same throttle
position, running at the same rpm.

The engine synchronization feature is used to
control the speed of both engines, electronically,
using one throttle.
When the engine synchronizers are in operation,
any engine speed differential is immediately
sensed and automatically corrected. A single
throttle movement is all that is necessary to
ensure that both engines maintain identical RPM.
When the 52 DA is equipped with the standard
engines the synchronizer is turned on by the
ENGINE SYNC switch on the control station switch
panel.
Optional engines come with the synchronizer
provided by that engine manufacturer. Refer to
y o u r O w n e r ’ s M a n u a l P a c k e t f o r c o r r e c t
synchronizer operating instructions.
REFER TO OWNER’S MANUAL PACKET FOR
INSTRUCTIONS AND WARRANTY INFORMATION.
Adjust both throttles to the same position before
turning the engine syncronization feature off. Failure
to do so can cause a sudden port or starboard turn.
! WARNING
2. Turn ON “ENGINE SYNC” switch located on the
control station switch panel (See Figure 2.9.1).
3. Both engines will adjust to the same rpm. The
master (port) throttle will control both engines.
Since the synchronizer is now controlling the
slave (starboard) engine, the lever is “limp” or
noneffective.

1. Both engines MUST be in the same throttle
position.
2. Put the “ENGINE SYNC” switch in the OFF
position. (Depress the bottom of the rocker-
switch).
The engines will slowly ramp to their physical throttle
settings.
