Use of higher amperage fuses or breakers is a fire
hazard.
Use fuses and breakers having the same amperage
rating as the original or as specified.

If you need to replace a fuse or breaker,
use only
the same amperage as the original.
It is
recommended that you carry spare fuses and
breakers. See pages 6.4, 6.7, 6.8 & 6.21 for the
proper breaker and/or fuse sizes.
If a fuse or breaker is replaced with one of lower
amperage, it will not be sufficient to carry the
electrical load of the equipment it is connected to
and will cause nuisance fuse failure or breaker
tripping.
If a fuse or breaker is replaced with one of higher
amperage, it will not provide adequate protection
against an electrical malfunction and will create a
fire hazard.

The main DC breaker panel (Figure 6.6.1) is located
in the engine room on the forward equipment board.
The panel contains breakers for various equipment
plus the control switches for the 12VDC battery
solenoids.
The bilge pump, emergency bilge pumps, sump
pump, battery chargers and aft EIM unswitched
remain energized at all times and CANNOT be
turned OFF with the battery solenoids. The entire
remaining DC system CAN be turned OFF with the
battery solenoids.

Fuse blocks utilizing automotive type blade fuses
are used to provide overload protection.
Control Station Fuse Block:
L ocated
on the forward bulkhead under the control station.
It can be accessed by a door directly below the
helm. This fuse block protects the VHF radio,
radar, autopilot and other electronic accessories.
Cabin Fuse Block:
Located on the main
distribution panel accessory board behind the 12
volt DC distribution panel in the salon. This fuse
block provides power to the carbon monoxide
monitors, TV antenna amplifier and main
distribution panel lights (See Figures 6.9.1 &
6.10.1).
