8.0 LinLab - Motorized Device Configuration
and Control Software
The software utility allows the user to change the configuration of the
controller to optimise the settings to suit their specific application. The
direction of travel can be adjusted along with speed of acceleration,
movement etc. LinLab also allows the user to control the motion of
motorized devices through a Graphical User Interface if required.
The software can be used to control a single device or up to 12 devices
using a tab selection menu.
8.1 Installing the software
The software utility will run on Windows 98, 2000, XP and Windows 7 .
1. Insert the supplied CD into your drive (PC only)
2. Run the LinLab setup .exe file
3. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
8.1.1 Connecting the system
The order of installation depends on your operating system.
•
For Windows 7, install drivers first then connect
the USBs.
•
For Windows 98, 2000 and XP, USBs should be
connected first followed by installation of the
drivers.
Please ensure that all leads are correctly attached before switching on
the system.
DO NOT remove or plug in any leads while the controller is switched on.
1U rack to PC via USB Cable.
Connect one end of the USB cable to your USB port and the other into
the back of the 1U rack.
1U rack, LinKey (keypad) or PatchPad to PC via USB Cable
Connect the 1U rack,LinKey or PatchPad to the pc using a standard
USB cable. Now power up the system.
