16. STORAGE, MAINTENANCE, CARE AND
DISPOSAL
16.1 STORAGE
– Store the radio control system in a dry room.
Avoid humidity and extreme temperatures.
– Remove the battery cassette if the transmit-
ter is not needed during prolonged periods.
Place the cassette into an active charger or
recharge the battery every two weeks.
WARNING
Danger in case of unauthorized
use!
The machine operator is respon-
sible for safekeeping of the trans-
mitter in order to prevent its use
by non-authorized persons.
Lock the transmitter away.
16.2 MAINTENANCE
– Check the radio control system regularly or
whenever the system shows an unusual be-
haviour.
– Check the transmitter for damage. Pay par-
ticular attention to such defects which might
lead to the ingress of water into system
components.
– Check the receiver cables for damage.
– Perform a regular function check before driv-
ing the machine to the construction site.
– Report any detected damage immediately to
your superior.
CAUTION !
Risk of damage:
Carry out maintenance work on
the radio control system only with
the power supply cut off.
Disconnect all cables from the re-
ceiver before performing electri-
cal welding work on the machine.
16.3 CARE
– Clean the system components only from the
outside with a wet piece of cloth. Do not open
the housing. Dry with a soft piece of cloth.
CAUTION !
Risk of damage:
Do not use water jets for clean-
ing and do not immerse or hold
components under running wa-
ter.
Do not use detergents such as
spray oils, petrol, diesel fuel, al-
cohol etc. These agents will
damage the seals.
