15. CHANGING AND CHARGING THE BAT-
TERY
15.1 CHANGING THE BATTERY
The battery cassette compartment is located in
the baseplate of the transmitter (Fig. 1).
As the cassette is keyed, it can only be inserted
into the transmitter in the correct position.
– If needed, clean also the contacts before
inserting the cassette.
A new fully charged battery lasts for about 8
hours of operation. Very cold weather can re-
duce the capacity of the rechargeable battery.
A watchdog timer switches off the transmitter, if
no joystick movements have been detected for
more than 3 hours (standby mode).
IMPORTANT NOTE
A low battery condition is indica-
ted by 3 beeps of the buzzer and
by a flashing red LED 2.
The left bar of the display screen
(Fig. 3) also indicates the charge
condition of the battery.
