Design and description
4.2 Description
The product is an electrical rotary unit with torque motor and a
center bore. The center bore can be used as a media feed-through.
The product has an integrated position measuring system and a
temperature sensor.
The product must be operated using a drive controller. The
following operating modes can be set:
• Current-controlled
• Speed-controlled
• Position-controlled
The product is equipped with a cross roller bearing. The bearing is
lubricated for life.
Electric holding brake
variant The rotary module is held in the current position in the variant
with an electric holding brake. For this purpose, the electric
holding brake applies the nominal torque to maintain the position
at standstill.
NOTE
The electric holding brake is not a service brake.
The electric holding brake is controlled via the drive controller. If
there is no voltage at the controller output, the brake is applied. If
voltage is present at the controller output, the brake is released.
Connection diagram The schematic diagram shows the connection diagram of the
product between drive, encoder, and drive controller.
