A = distance between backer pad and feeder, B = distance between edge and alignment
rail
2. Move the sander with the backer pad diagonally in the
direction of the alignment rail until the backer pad is pressed
carefully against the alignment rail.
✓
Slight resistance can be felt when moving the backer pad
manually.
Backer pad is pressed against alignment rail
3. Move the sander linearly along the alignment rail until the
backer pad is level with the opening.
✓
The orbit pattern of the sander is deflected accordingly.
