Maintenance:
Always unplug the unit from the wall outlet prior to performing any cleaning or maintenance tasks.
Repairs may only be performed by trained personnel (an electrician) or by the manufacturer.
Cleaning:
Remove the UV tube and clean it with a household cleanser. Clean the lamp and the
reflector with a moist cloth. Never use aggressive cleansers or solvents to clean the
unit.
Make sure that no water or other liquids enter the unit.
Comb attachment installation and removal
Push the comb up against its stop in the direction of the UV tube opening.
Press down on the comb and push it in the opposite direction.
When inserting the comb, gently compress it at the teeth. Lock the UV tube into the
handle housing. Perform the procedure in reverse to disassemble the comb
attachment.
Disinfection:
The device needs to be disinfected on a regular base for example with Bacillol 30 (Bode-Chemie). Particularly
before the user is changed all casing parts have to be disinfected from the outside.
In order to disinfect the comb it can be removed as mentioned above and placed in the disinfection liquid
according to the instructions.
Lamp replacement
UV lamp service life differs from one unit to another. We recommend having the lamp replaced and the unit
recalibrated by our customer service department after 400 hours of operation.
