With increase of the operating hours the UV-performance of the lamps decreases steadily.
Therefore the user of the device needs to check the impact of the dosage-time-scheme from time
to time in order to possibly compensate through slightly prolongation of the exposure time. In
cases of uncertainty, please turn to the manufacturer (home-ose only).

If the home-use-device comb is being stored or transported below a temperate level of 10 C, it needs to be
adjusted to room temperature in the first place since the UV-lamp might otherwise not reach the necessary
operating temperature. In order to make sure that the medisun home-use-device gives the optimum radiant
power from the beginning on the device should be switched on for about 2 minutes before being used so as
to reach the operating temperature (home-use only)

The user and all persons nearby need to wear appropriate UV-protection goggles
(e.g. UV-goggles article no: 2274 delivered along with the device.)

During the treatment all untreated areas need to be covered (by clothes e.g.)

The device may not be used by children without supervision and must be kept out of their reach
in a safe spot.

There is a danger of strangulation by the power cable (home-use only).

Choking hazard, such as from small parts that come loose, which may be swallowed by a child
and make the child choke.

The device should be cleaned on a regular base in order to prevent loss of power caused by
soiling.

The expected operating
–lifespan of the device amounts to 10 to 15 years depending on
usage and maintenance. The operating life of the UV-lamp amounts to 200 to 400 operating
hours, depending on the usage. Storage beyond the recommended ambient conditions might
reduce the lifespan of the device and the UV-lamp.

Before every treatment it is important to check that all components are clean.
Especially if the user changes the device needs to be disinfected after each use.

It is not allowed to change anything on the device without the written permission of the
manufacturer.

The mandated time intervals of maintenance and safety checks must be kept in order to
ensure the operational safety.

The casing or protective covers may only be removed by autorised service-people.

The operation of the medisun devices only is allowed below 2.000 meter altitude.

The patient e.g. user is only allowed to take supplementary medication before and after the
therapy if it’s approved by the treating doctor. Disregard may cause heavy side effects and
health damages.
