I nstallation
Be f ore operating your new appliance please read
this instruction booklet care f ully . It contains
important in f ormation concerning the sa f e operation,
installation and maintenance o f the appliance .
Please keep these operating instructions f or f uture
re f erence . Pass them on to any new owners o f the
appliance .
P osi t ionin g
Keep all packaging material out o f the reach o f
children . It may present a choking or su ff ocation
hazard ( see Precautions and ti p s ).
T he appliance must be installed by a q uali f ied
pro f essional in accordance with the instructions
provided . Incorrect installation may cause harm to
people and animals or may damage property .
B u ilt-in applian c e
U se a suitable cabinet to ensure that the appliance
f unctions properly .
• T he supporting sur f ace must be heat - resistant up
to a temperature o f approximately 100 ° C .
• I f the appliance is to be installed above an oven,
the oven must be e q uipped with a f orced
ventilation cooling system .
• Avoid installing the hob above a dishwasher : i f
this cannot be avoided, place a waterproo f
separation device between the two appliances .
• Depending on the hob you want to install, the
cabinet must have the f ollowing dimensions ( see
f igure ):
V entilation
T o allow ade q uate ventilation and to avoid overheating
o f the surrounding sur f aces the hob should be positioned
as f ollows :
• A t a minimum distance o f 40 mm f rom the back
panel .
• So that a minimum distance o f 20 mm is
maintained between the installation cavity and the
cabinet underneath .
• Kitchen cabinets adjacent to the appliance and
taller than the top o f the hob must be at least 6 00
mm f rom the edge o f the hob .
