4 TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
4. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
DANGER!
Risk of crushing!
There is a risk of limbs being crushed by the magnetic chucks tipping over
or falling during loading, unloading and installation of the magnetic circular
chucks.
■
Persons may only be present outside of the hazard area. Do not stand
under suspended loads!
■
The magnetic chucks must be loaded and unloaded using suitable
transport equipment (e.g. pallet or support frame).
■
Secure the magnetic chucks against falling or tipping over.
■
When lifting the magnetic chucks, only use suitable and approved
lifting gear and slings which are designed for the weight of the magnetic
circular chucks.
■
Use the lifting threads on the larger pole plates.
■
Do not use any magnetic lifting devices!
Larger magnets are always delivered with lifting lugs. These have to be screwed into the lifting threads in the
housing.

Always consider the total weight when selecting the load attachment gear. If required, use edge protectors.
Never transport magnetic chucks with magnetic lifting equipment.
After use, switch off the magnet immediately. For extended storage periods, the magnetic chucks must be protected
against corrosion with the appropriate means.
