7. MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS
The safety information from section 2 “safety” must be observed.
DANGER!
Hazard from malfunction!
Incorrect assembly of the demagnetiser can cause a malfunction of the
machine.
This can cause crushing and jamming points, posing a risk of crushing for
limbs.
■
Have troubleshooting carried out only by qualified personnel.
■
Re-install safety devices correctly.
DANGER!
Risk of crushing!
There is a risk of limbs being crushed by the demagnetiser falling due to
incorrect installation and removal of the magnets.
■
Secure the demagnetiser against falling.
■
Have troubleshooting carried out only by qualified personnel.
DANGER!
Risk of electric shock!
The alternating magnetic field is generated with alternating voltage.
Demagnetisers work with high voltages and currents. An electric shock can
result in death or serious injuries.
■
Before maintenance and cleaning work, always disconnect the demagnet-
iser from the power supply.
■
Ensure to protect the device, rubber cable and connector against damage.
■
To exclude malfunctions and hazards for the operator, it is not permitted
to open the hand-held demagnetiser.
Before each use
■
Check the device for damage.
■
Check the cable and the connector for cracks, damage or signs of wear.
■
On the hand-held demagnetiser SAV 890.71, additionally check the strain relief and the function in connection
with the green status LED.
At regular intervals
■
Magnet systems attract dust and ferromagnetic (Fe) particles. The device therefore has to be cleaned regularly
with a damp cloth (no solvents).
■
Clean the parts with compressed air and/or soft cloths.
■
Regularly check that the type plate and warning symbols are in the right locations on the machine and are
legible.
