6.4.2 Using a Computer to Prepare a USB Memory Stick for Music/Photo
Playback
If you are using a USB memory stick for music or viewing photographs, you should insert the USB memory
stick into a computer and copy the desired files to the memory stick.

The USB memory stick must be formatted as “FAT”
•
The BD player determines whether files on the USB memory stick contain audio
or photographs based on the
last 3-4 characters
of the file name.

6.4.3 Preparing the BD Player for Music/Photo Playback
If you will be viewing photos and/or listening to music burned onto a data disc, open the tray
and insert the disc.
If you will be viewing photos and/or listening to music burned onto a USB memory stick,
you must turn
off the BD Player before inserting the USB memory stick.
After inserting the USB memory stick,
turn the BD player on.
NOTE
: Inserting/removing a USB stick when the player is ON may corrupt the data on the USB device

When a data disc or USB memory stick containing picture audio files is inserted into the BD player,
the menu screen will display icons indicating that music, or picture files are available for playback,
as shown in the following:
The BD player determines whether files on the data disc contain audio
or photographs based on the 3-4 characters of the files name.
