Configure Hotspot
1. Press

to set these options:
Network SSID
: View and change the name of your mobile hotspot.
Hide my device
: When enabled, your mobile hotspot is not visible to other Wi-Fi
devices during a scan. Other devices can still connect to your mobile hotspot, but will
have to set up the connection manually with your Network SSID and Password.
Security
: Choose the security level for your Mobile Hotspot.
Password
: If you choose a security level that uses a password, set a password. By
default, the password is your mobile telephone number.
Show password
: When enabled, the contents of the Password field are visible.
Show advanced options
: When enabled, you can access advanced options,
including Broadcast channel, to specify the channel your device uses for Hotspot,
and you can set the maximum number of connections to your Hotspot.
Allowed Devices
Control whether devices can connect to your Mobile Hotspot with the Allowed devices list. After
you add devices to the list, they can scan for your phone and connect using your phone’s
Hotspot name and password.

: Using the Hotspot feature consumes battery power and uses data services

, and then enter the other device’s
Device name
and
MAC address
. Consult
the other device’s settings to find its MAC address.
4. Tap
OK
to add the device to the Allowed devices list.
Bluetooth
Bluetooth is a short-range wireless communications technology for exchanging information over
a distance of about 30 feet. You don’t need to line up the devices to send information with
Bluetooth. If the devices are in range, you can exchange information between them, even if they
are in different rooms.
