Separating and Installing the LCD Panel
The procedures for separating the LCD panel from the system and installing the LCD
panel are described below.
Separating the LCD and installing it on the cradle (optional), allows the LCD to
be used as a separate LCD monitor. For the procedures to install the LCD to
the cradle, refer to the additionally supplied cradle manual.
■
Separate the LCD panel from the system only to install the LCD on the
cradle. If the cradle is not available, do not separate the LCD from the
system.
■
Do not separate the LCD panel from the system while the system is
turned on or the system is in hibernation. Make sure that the system is
turned off and then separate the LCD panel from the system.
■
While separating the LCD panel, do not press the Power button or the AVS
button. If any of these keys are pressed and the system is turned on when the
LCD panel is separated, the system beeps and turns off after 3 seconds.
■
Release the LCD separation lever latch when only separating the LCD
panel. When releasing the LCD separation lever latch and using it for the
tilt function, the signal for the LCD is cut off and no picture is displayed
on the LCD screen.
■
In the following cases, the system is not turned on.
- When the LCD (or an external monitor) is not installed on the system.
- When the LCD Separation Latches are not properly closed.
In this case, install the LCD or check if the LCD Separation Latches are
properly closed.
