Connecting to the Internet 93
Sharing Internet Access
This section describes the procedures to share Internet Access.
To share Internet Access, you first have to set a sharing server and a sharing client.
When the setup is complete, you can access the Internet from the sharing client by
connecting to the sharing server.
To set up Internet Sharining Samsung Network Manager, Samsung Network
Manager must be installed on both computers.
If Internet Sharing is set up, you cannot set up a wireless LAN AP using the
'Wireless Network Connection' icon in the notification area of the Windows
taskbar.
To connect to a wireless LAN AP using 'Wireless Network Connection', move
to another network location and connect or select
Wireless > Release
Sharing Connection
from the menu and then connect.
Even once Internet Sharing is canceled, Internet Sharing is automatically
restored when the system restarts or wakes up from hibernation. Therefore,
you have to manually cancel Internet Sharing to cancel the connection.
Although a sharing server and client can be set up in any of the 3 ways described in the
reference table, we will describe the procedures for setting up a sharing server and
client for Connection 1 (wired + wireless) as an example.
Sharing Server
: A computer with a direct connection to the internet and a
local network connection.
Sharing

server without itself having a direct connection to the Internet.
You can connect a sharing server and a sharing client as follows.(See Figure
