Displaying Messages
When the Print Manager window is full-size and active, it automatically displays
any messages that Print Manager generates. If Print Manager is full size but not the
active window, or if it is minimized, you determine whether to see messages
immediately, ignore messages, or be alerted to messages.
Print Manager only controls the display of messages that Print
Manager generates – it does not control messages from Windows.
As a result, your choice here does not affect Windows Printing
System messages.
To control how Print Manager displays messages:

From the Options menu, select Background Printing.

In the Message Notification When Inactive group box, select one of the
following options;
Option Result
Display All Print Manager displays warnings immediately.

Flash Print The window’s title bar or icon flashes to get your
Manager attention. To see the message, click the Print Manager
Window window, or double-click the icon.
Ignore All Nothing changes on your screen.

Click the OK button.
Assigning Print Manager Priority
You determine how quickly your documents print by setting a priority level for
Print Manager. The higher the priority, the faster it processes your print jobs.
However, raising the priority level allocates more of your computer’s processing
time to Print Manager, which leaves less processing time available for other
applications, so they may run slower while Print Manager is running.
