Early Warning "Area Mail"
Area Mail is a service which the emergency earthquake flash reports
and tsunami warnings and special alarm concerning weather, etc.
distributed by the Meteorological Agency and the disaster and
evacuation information distributed by national and local governments
can be received without it being affected by telephone line
congestion.
• You can receive Area Mails for free without subscriptions.
• Area Mail cannot be received in the following case.
- When the power is off
- During International roaming
- During Airplane mode
- When software is being updated
- When the PIN code input screen is displayed
- When a SIM other than by DOCOMO is inserted
- During a voice call (except for VoLTE voice calls)
• When the terminal's free memory capacity is low, you may not be able
to receive Area Mails if you are tethering under the 3G areas or using
packet communications.
• Area Mail (emergency earthquake flash reports) that could not be received
cannot be received again.
If Area Mail (tsunami warnings, special alarm concerning weather, etc.,
fire and evacuation information) is resent and cannot be received, it can
be re-received.
Setting Early Warning "Area Mail"
When you receive an Area Mail, the details notification screen is displayed
and you are alerted by a special buzzer or ringtone and vibration.
• A special buzzer and ringtone cannot be changed.

When an Area Mail is received, a special buzzer or the
ringtone sounds and the icon is displayed then the contents
of Area Mail is displayed
Check received Area mail later

From the Home screen, → "Disaster kit"

"Early Warning "Area Mail" → "Area Mail" → Select the Area
Mail from the list of Area Mail
Delete an Area Mail

From the Home screen, → "Disaster kit"

"Early Warning "Area Mail"" → "Area Mail" → Touch and hold
an Area Mail you want to delete

"Delete" → "OK"

Set whether to receive Area Mail or behavior at reception.
