8.1. Risks present when lubricating
To avoid splashing with pressurized liquid wear protective glasses with side guards.
When lubricating protect eyes and skin against contact with the substance. Therefore use
adequate long-sleeved protective clothing and protective shoes. Use protective gloves, too. In
case of a contact with skin, immediately wash the infected area with plenty of soap water.
Do not allow the product to contaminate water outlets, water courses and soils.
In case of an unintentional release to the environment plug the leak, limit the spillage, and then
collect the oil with non-flammable absorbent material (e.g. sand).
The product is flammable. In case of fire, use adequate fire-extinguishing means (e.g. foam,
water mist, extinguishing powders). Do not use water jets.
Disposal of the used product must be made according to local regulations. Improper disposal of
the used oil poses danger to the environment.
9. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
If plow is idle for more than two weeks, always do the following maintenance works:
clean and wash the plow thoroughly,
if necessary perform any required repair, adjustment, sealing or hose replacement works,
remove any sources of corrosion and touch up any paintwork defects,
protect metal surfaces with a thin film of a solid grease, e.g. ŁT – 43, or mineral, or motor or
gearbox oil, e.g. 15W40,
complement or replace any illegible warning and information decals,
close connection ends of hydraulic hoses.
Store the plow in a compacted position – with retracted cylinders in a dry and clean place
which is inaccessible to unauthorized personnel and animals, on a level and hard ground under a
roof or other cover protecting it against weather conditions.
