CAUTION:
Test the Parent’s Unit before each
use. It is essential to check reception regularly.
Do not use the system when the link LED flashes
red or green (out of range). See “Out of Range” below.
1. Out of Range:
If the connection is poor or one of the units is not powered on, the green
link LED flashes. If there is no clear connection for more than 30 seconds the
red link LED will flash. The audible link-break alert will also be emitted from
the Parent’s Unit every 30 seconds.
NOTE:
The audible link-break alert cannot be manually set on or off, but it can be sup-
pressed for 3 minutes by pressing any button. The audible alert is only on the Parent’s
Unit.
2. To Test the Reception:
Place the Baby’s Unit at least 20’ (6 m) away from Parent’s Unit. Have an adult speak
into the Baby’s Unit at various levels (soft to loud) while another adult checks the
Parent’s Unit for the proper sound and reception. Try the Parent’s Unit in every
location where it will be used.
5. Talk Feature:
Press and hold the talk button on the Parent’s Unit to talk to Baby’s
Unit. The green link LED on both units will flash. Talk into the speaker
on the Parent’s Unit. Release button to hear your baby again.
6. Paging Feature:
If the Parent’s Unit is misplaced, press the paging button on the Baby’s Unit.
The Parent’s Unit will sound the paging alert. To stop the paging alert, press
any button on the Parent’s Unit or press the page button again.
3. Volume:
There are 5 volume levels on each unit represented by LEDs. There is also an “off” setting
on the Parent’s Unit. Press the volume up or down buttons to adjust the vol-
ume.
NOTE:
You cannot switch the volume off on the Baby’s Unit. Changing the volume
setting on the Baby’s Unit will also affect the volume while talk back.
4. Secure Sound Lights:
The 8 sound lights on the Parent’s Unit indicate the sound level
of the baby. The more noise your baby makes, the more sound
lights will illuminate.
