4.4 SOFTWARE INSTALLATION
The software is already installed as the electronic equipment is tested prior to delivery. The user therefore does not
have to install the software.
Note that the software configuration may vary from the original configuration as the electronic equipment is used and
in order to meet personal requirements. This is true above all for the user’s configuration of the electronic equipment
operating parameters.

NOTICE
It is therefore highly recommended that frequent backup copies of the hard disk are made on diskettes as a
safety measure in the event that data is canceled, files are damaged or the hard disk goes down. Keep these
disks in a safe place.
In any case several CD ROMs are supplied with this manual. These allow the software supplied with the electronic
equipment to be reinstalled. If the software is lost, a copy can be obtained by contacting SACMI’s Customer Service
Department.
The material needed to set the system to its initial operating conditions, i.e. the conditions present when the electronic
equipment was shipped, is provided.
Consult the attached documents “Software installation guide for vision systems” and “Personalization instructions for
vision systems” in the version supplied on how to install the software.
For more detailed information, consult the “Help in line” manual for the version installed.
