Transport
•
The battery complies with the requirements of UN Manual
ST/SG/AC.10/11/Rev. 4. Part III, Subsection 38.3.
•
Nevertheless, the battery must be protected from vibrations and secured
against movement during transport.
•
Make sure that the packaging is not damaged during transport. If the
packaging is damaged, the batteries must be checked and repacked as
necessary to prevent short circuit. Short circuits can lead to fires, explosion
and leakage of the battery.
•
Batteries are fragile – handle with care, do not throw or drop.
•
In general, lithium-ion batteries are classified as dangerous goods and are
subject to transport and packaging requirements of dangerous goods
regulations.

Take-back obligations / disposal
Based on the Battery Act, the manufacturer/distributor will cover the costs for
collection, processing and recycling of equipment and batteries.
For this purpose, the battery must be disposed of in collection containers as
required by national regulations. The battery must not be disposed of in household
waste; the waste must be separated according to the type of the battery, as
indicated by the crossed-out garbage bin symbol.
When the end of the battery life is reached, hand the battery over to your SABO
representative or take it to a dedicated public collection point (in Germany e.g. to
the GRS) to ensure disposal in accordance with applicable waste and hazardous
goods regulations.
Regulations and laws for recycling and disposal of lithium-ion batteries differ from
country to country and may also differ within the federal states. Inform yourself
about the applicable laws and regulations for the disposal of hazardous waste in
your area.

Subject to change
ATTENTION:
Only hand in discharged batteries without voltage at external contacts. If the battery
is only partially discharged, it must be secured against short circuits before return
(solid cardboard packaging – ideal would be the original cardboard packaging if
available).
Discarded or used batteries must not be burned because they can explode. When
batteries are burned, toxic fumes and toxins are produced.
Only in EU countries:
According to Directive 2012/19/EU on electrical and electronic waste and its
implementation in legislation, lithium-ion-powered devices must be collected
separately and introduced in an environmentally friendly recycling system.
Directive 2006/66/EC requires used batteries to be recycled.
Other
Independent laboratory tests have been carried out to verify that the battery
complies with PAH limit values according to category 3 of AfPS GS 2014:01.
This product is made from materials without detectable mercury.
