6. Detach the negative (BLACK) connector
from the battery terminal.
7. Detach the positive (RED) connector from
the battery terminal.
Take care to not short the battery
terminals to the bracket when
removing and installing.
8. Remove the battery from the bracket.
9. Remove the old black rubber gasket in the
lantern base and replace it with the new one
supplied.
Carefully check the gasket to ensure
that it is seated in the base plate.
10. Position and install the battery observing the
orientation as shown below.
11. Connect the negative (BLACK) connector to
the battery terminal.
12. Connect the positive (RED) connector to the
battery terminal.
13. Place the lantern housing back over the
battery pack and reconnect the battery
harness.
14. Carefully turn the lantern on its side. Inspect
the lantern to ensure that no wires or
gaskets are pinched.
