If the console is connected before power is applied to the switch, the initial boot messages may be seen. It is also possible to connect the
console while the switch is powered, however the initial boot messages will be missed. Here is an example of the initial boot messages.

After the switch is booted, it may be necessary to press <Enter> a few times before the login prompt (or command prompt if already logged in)
is displayed. In the factory default configuration, the username is admin with no password (just press enter when prompted for a password).
