Desktop attachment
Setting up the desktop attachment is very similar to the racing pack.
You will need to input the bar into the front of the chair, and screw it in. The right-angled
hinge attachment will also need to be added and screwed in place.
The long bar will need to be added and screwed in, and instead of adding the smaller
steering wheel table, the desktop will need to be slotted into the top.
Recommended Accessories
Joysticks
The office’s favourites for joysticks is the
Thrustmaster T16000M. These are smooth
joysticks, that feel natural to use. They are shaped well, and sit nicely on the Roto
sidetables, giving you that level of immersion you may not find elsewhere.
The Thrustmaster Warthog joysticks have also been recommended and used with the chair,
but these are much bulkier than the T16000M.
Steering Wheels
Thrustmaster T150 Asia Edition
This is the steering wheel that works best with Roto. It has force feedback, upgradeable
firmware, as well as downloadable drivers, so that your wheel will always be up to date.
When getting steering wheels, we would highly recommend this.
The other steering wheels below will work with Roto, however you may not have as much
freedom with these than with the T150.
Logitech G27
This is one of Logitech’s older models, which is now no longer sold by them in favour of their
G29 and G920 models. Using USB, it sits well on our racing pack.
Logitech G29
If
you’re not able to get your hands on the G
27, the G29 has the same specs and internal
design, so will work just as well with Roto. It was just given an update to modernise it
Logitech G920
The G920 is a further upgrade to the previous wheels, and like the others, connects via USB
and has force feedback, great for immersing you in the seat of your next racing car.
