Replacing a Cooling Module
If one of the cooling modules fails, it must be replaced as soon as
possible. The cooling module is secured to the PSU module with the
six (6) screws from the top. To replace the cooling module, follow the
steps below:
WARNING!
The fan replacement process should be completed within five (5) minutes. If
the process takes too long, the accumulated heat can damage the
subsystem.
For 3U 16 bay models:
For 3U enclosure cooling modules, they are situated within the PSU
and are not user serviceable. To rectify cooling module failures, a
complete PSU unit must be swapped out. Please contact your system
vendor to acquire a replacement PSU.
For 4U 24 bay models:
The cooling fan modules are situated independently above the PSUs
and can be serviced individually.

Step 1.
Remove the cooling module
by pressing the slide
lock on the side of the module towards the center of
the chassis and then pulling the module out of the
chassis.
