Cleaning and maintenance
CAUTION: Hazard of injury and burns!
• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning!
• Do not touch the sharp-edged 3-winged serrated blade!
Always handle cutting tools with care to avoid injuries!

• Never immerse the base unit, lid with motor unit, power
cord and power plug in water nor clean them under run-
ning water!

• Always let the appliance cool down before cleaning!
Quick cleaning during usage
• The cleaning programme Reinigen can be used for an express cleaning between individual
preparation processes.
• To do this, fill about 750 ml of lukewarm water with a drop of dishwashing detergent into
the empty inner container and close the lid.
• To start cleaning, select the programme Reinigen by using the rotary switch and start it
with the Start/Pause button. Please also note the instructions under Operating the
appliance (see page 34).
• Then pour out the dishwater and rinse with clean water.
Thorough cleaning after usage
• Clean the appliance and accessory parts immediately after each use so that residues do not
dry on.
• Clean the outside of the base unit with a damp tissue.
• To avoid water stains on the surface of the base unit wipe it dry e.g. with a cloth.
• Clean the inner container with some dishwashing detergent and a sponge.
• Also clean the motor unit as well as the blade with some dishwashing detergent and a
sponge or a cleaning brush. Take care when cleaning the blade – it is very sharp!
• Never use abrasives and solvents or any sharp objects!
• Never treat the appliance and accessory parts with a steam cleaner!
• Do not clean the appliance or any accessory parts in the dishwasher!
