Premature stop of programmes or keep warm function
• To stop the boiling/cooking process or the keep warm function prematurely,
tap the touch key START/CANCEL or ON/STANDBY.

Activating the touch key is confi rmed by a signal tone.

The display shows programme duration by default or respectively “- -“.
Switching off the appliance permanently
• For a safe and permanently switch-off,
pull the power plug after each use!
Cleaning and maintenance
CAUTION: Hazard of injury and burns!
• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning!
• Do not immerse appliance, power cord and power plug in
water nor clean it under running water!
• Always let the appliance cool down before cleaning!
NOTE: Rice/steaming insert, cover for rice/steaming insert and serving spoon may also be cleaned in the
dishwasher at low temperature and in the upper dish rack.
However, we recommend to clean the cooking pot by hand as the non-stick-coating may be worn-out and
damaged by the aggressive salts of the cleansing products.
ATTENTION: Never clean inner lid, gasket ring as well as the components of the steam regulator in the
dishwasher!
• Clean the appliance and accessory parts immediately after use so that residues do not dry on.
• Clean the outside of the base unit with a damp tissue and wipe it dry.
• Clean the cooking pot and all other accessory parts in hot water with some dishwashing detergent. Use
a conventional household cleaning brush with soft bristles for cleaning coarse soiling.
• Clean the inner lid and gasket ring in hot water with some mild detergent and then thoroughly dry
them. If necessary, remove the gasket ring. For reassembly, take care that the gasket ring is positioned
correctly onto the inner lid.
• Clean the steam regulator in hot water with some mild detergent and then thoroughly wipe it dry.
• Before reassembly and before reuse, all accessory parts must be completely dry.
• Never use abrasives and solvents!
• Never treat the appliance and accessory parts with a steam cleaner!
