Mixing ratio of rice and water
For the programmes
“Reis”
(rice) and
“Vollkorn”
(wholemeal) we recommend a mixing ratio of
1 to 2.
For example: 100 g rice – 200 ml water | 250 g rice – 500 ml water | 400 g rice – 800 ml water
For programme
“Low Carb”
we recommend a mixing ratio of about
1 to 4.
For example: 100 g rice – 400 ml water | 150 g rice – 600 ml water | 200 g rice – 800 ml water
NOTE:
The suggested mixing ratio is for guidance only. Depending on the type of rice and your own taste,
the ratio of rice and water can be individually adjusted. More water ensures that the rice is swelling up
more and it also extends the cooking process a little. Less water, on the other hand, makes the rice firm to
the bite and shortens the cooking process somewhat. In the case of strongly swelling rice (e.g. Sadri), no
more than 300 g rice should be used. Just try and experiment and also follow the preparation instructions
and tips from the rice manufacturer.
Programme selection
The appliance features 6 programmes. Their selection and settings are done via the Touch Control sensors on
the control panel. The selected programme lights up in the display accordingly.

Low Carb
Innovative boiling and cooking of rice (max. 200 g) to reduce carbohydrates in rice. The
rice is filled into the stainless steel rice/steaming insert and is gently boiled and steamed
in a water bath using a multi-stage cooking process. During this cooking process, a partial
extraction of carbohydrates takes place among other things. The released carbohydrates
accumulate in the water underneath the insert or in the lid above the insert.

For Low Carb function please make use of the enclosed rice/steaming insert made of
stainless steel.
Place the insert in the cooking pot and fill in rice and water. The rice has to be completely
covered by water. Afterwards place the cover for rice/steaming insert onto the insert and
close the casing cover.
