Piston

Explanation

[ORGAN TYPE] Piston

This piston allows you to select Organ Type.

[SET] Piston

This stores a combination of sounds (registration) 

to a general memory piston or a division memory 

piston.

General Memory 

Pistons

Each of these pistons can store a combination of 

sounds (registration) for the entire organ.

Memory Bank Select 

[M–] Piston/[M+] Piston 

[M1] Piston

Use these pistons when you want to switch memory 

banks. [M1] piston allows you to switch to memory 

bank 1.

PEDAL Division 

Coupler Piston

This piston causes the pedalboard to play the sound 

of each division.

Division Memory 

Pistons

Each of these pistons can store sounds (registration) 

for each division.

Tremulant Pistons

The tremulant effect adds vibrato (cyclic 

modulation) to the sounds. Refer to “Tremulant” 

(p. 20).

[PREV] Piston/[NEXT] 

Piston

These successively load the registration stored at 

the previous or next general memory piston; e.g., 

3   2   1 ([PREV] piston) or 1   2   3 ([NEXT] 

piston).

MIDI Coupler

These pistons allows you to play a MIDI coupler.  

Refer to “MIDI Coupler” (p. 18).

Bass Coupler [BASS] 

Piston

This causes the lowest note played on the 2nd 

manual to play the PEDAL division sounds. 

Melody Coupler Piston

This causes the highest note played on the 2nd 

manual to play the SWELL, CHOIR, and SOLO 

division sounds.

[HYMN PLAYER] Piston

This piston allows you to play a Hymn.

[   ] ([STOP]) Piston

This stops playback or recording of a song.

 ] ([PLAY/PAUSE]) 

Piston

This starts or pauses playback of a song.

[   ] ([REC]) Piston

Use this when you want to record your performance.

General Cancel [0] 

Piston

This cancels all stops, so that no sounds are selected. 

It’s convenient to use this piston when you want to 

specify a combination of sounds from scratch.

[TUTTI] Piston

The TUTTI control allows you to engage full organ 

quickly without canceling the current registration.

SOLO Tremulant 

Pistons

The tremulant effect adds vibrato (cyclic 

modulation) to the sounds of the SOLO division. 

Refer to “Tremulant” (p. 20).

Division Coupler Piston

This piston causes the 1st and 2nd manual to play 

the sound of the SOLO division.

[ZIMBEL] Piston

This piston allows you to play the Zimbelstern voice.

[DFLT STOPS] Piston

Press this piston; the settings will be reset to a state 

in which no sound is selected and the variation 

settings will also be reset for all stops, restoring the 

basic variation VP0 (Default Voice Palette). Refer to 

“Selecting a Sound Variation (Voice Palette)” (p. 25)

MIDI Coupler Pedal

This piston allows you to play a Pedal MIDI coupler. 

Refer to “MIDI Coupler” (p. 18).

[GT/CH TARNS] Piston

This piston allows you to transfer the 1st manual 

(CHOIR) and 2nd manual (GREAT).

[MAIN TREM ALT] 

Piston

This Organ is equipped with two independent Main 

Tremulant settings, a Standard Main Tremulant and 

an Alternate Main Tremulant.  

Pressing the [MAIN TEM ALT] reversible piston so 

that its light engages the Alternate Main Tremulant. 

Refer to “Tremulant” (p. 20).
